A party planning company that bundles balloons and dessert!
Lays and Jessie worked as Interior Designers together at KDI between the years of 2017 and 2019 and became close friends. Over the years Jessie began baking more and more and Lays began hosting parties and would DIY all the decorations. In doing this for a few years Lays grew a skill set to be able to create stunning balloon archways, garlands, and accents. While both Jessie and Lays continued to work as Interior Designers their love for baking and party planning/decorating grew together and it made sense to combine and conquer! March of 2023 Lays and Jessie decided to start marketing themselves as a party planning company that bundles balloons and desserts to busy Moms, Party hosts who like themed parties, and all those with parties to plan. Then just like that, Saved By The Bundle was born!

Jessie has lived in Aurora/ Naperville most of her life. She went to Brooks Elementary, Hill Middle School, and Waubonsie Valley High School. Her best friend since the age of one moved to New Jersey in the fourth grade and then to California in her teen years but Jessie and Brooke stayed best friends through it all. So, Jessie went to Cal State Long Beach her freshman year and was roommates with Brooke. She ended up transferring to Indiana University where she graduated with her Bachelor of Arts and Science for a career as an Interior Designer. She also minored in Studio Art, Art History, Business Entrepreneurship, and had the chance to study abroad in Paris! Jessie Graduated from College, passed the NCIDQ exam and became an Interior Designer! Jessie’s favorite work was senior living facilities because she liked being able to help the quality of life for the residents through design. She also loved the short time she worked on Hotels because of the ability to truly design. Jessie moved to Sarasota, Florida in 2018 until an extended visit back to Aurora turned into a move back because Lays and Jessie decided to create Saved By The Bundle. A party planning company that bundles balloons and desserts! Some of the favorite things Jessie has baked in her lifetime are: her grandma’s lemon cake, Blackberry Lavender Mini Cheesecakes she surprised a friend with, and the baby girl themed cookies decorated for Lays’ baby shower. Baking is a lot of work, takes precision and practice but Jessie loves every minute of it from designing what will be made, to the baking all the way through the decorating and of course seeing people’s faces light up when they take a bite!
More about Lays...
Lays was born and raised in Northeast Brazil, in tropical Maceio. Her grandmother ran an event venue and catering business from the building next to her house, with an industrial kitchen connected to her yard. The smell of food being cooked is a strong memory from childhood, along with the sound of music and balloons popping at the end of every children’s party they hosted. Her passion for parties is rooted from early on.
Lays attended the University of Alagoas and graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture and Urban Design in 2012. She worked in the Design Industry in Brazil for a couple of years before she moved to the US, where she started focusing on commercial interior design.
After having her daughter Livia and planning her first birthday party, Lays started developing an interest for balloon decor. She has been studying it since then and is always trying something new and creative to make her client’s dream of the perfect party a reality.
